Located in Cumming Georgia and established by Desiree Brozovsky, Be Happy Yoga was formed as a combination of a labor of love for Yoga and a desire to teach.
After acquiring her 200 RYT certification under the expert instruction provided by Lori Finch (owner of Yoga North Atlanta), Desiree continued to to broaden her knowledge and completed the 500 AIYT program in yoga therapy.
This path aligns Desiree's desire to address her students specialized needs through the healing properties of yoga.
In addition to these structured yoga programs and curriculum, Desiree has sought out some of the most established practitioners in the field to enhance her overall understanding and knowledge base. Some of these distinguished yogis include:

* Personal note - After being diagnosed with AS (Ankylosing Spondylitis) ~9 yrs ago, the prognosis by her rheumatologist was that she would be confined to a wheel chair with a fused back and neck in 10 yrs time. With a significant amount of her pelvis eroded through decalcification it was not uncommon for her to have days where she could not walk, and for a time it looked like the dire predictions would come true. However, after some research, trial and error, and a keen determination to meet this personal challenge, Desiree discovered the healing power of yoga. It has been through the constant motion and physical challenges she provides her body through her yoga practice that she has been able to arrest the progress of this incurable disease without subjecting herself to the potentially adverse effects accompanying the prescribed treatments (Enbrel, Celebrex and Vioxx). Today, when you work with Desiree, you will have a hard time detecting any disability what so ever.
Based on this transformative experience and her natural tendency and love of teaching, Desiree found that special combination we are all seeking consisting of the perfect balance within a profession that also provides a great sense of personal satisfaction.
